Studying at the Ranch
Our facility is isolated, casual, and exclusive all in one. Onsite accommodation and horse boarding allow guests the opportunity to participate at their individual level of expertise, as each session is specifically designed to the client’s needs and abilities. From highly experienced trainers and instructors seeking 7- Step Safety System accreditation to beginners becoming more confident, your goals are assessed and addressed over the weekend. Bell’s ability to help his student’s achieve their goals is legendary. Whichever equine discipline you choose will be greatly enhanced with our full weekend of study. Bring your own horse or use one of our schooling horses.
Our onsite lodging accommodates either the individual or a couple in our cozy flat that overlooks the property. With horses roaming just off the balcony, the ambience is nature at its best. The flat is equipped with a self sufficient kitchen and onsite library that includes Bell’s educational materials to be quietly viewed in high definition surround sound. Or relax into peaceful reading in the inviting living room or adjacent terrace.
Flora and Fauna
Windrider Ridge encompasses over two hundred and fifty acres complete with 7.2 kms. of hiking and riding trails through our rainforest, complete with gullies and gin clear creeks running with pure drinking water. Adjacent to the world heritage listed Borders National Park, the country abounds with Koalas, wallabies, grey kangaroos, potoroos, and pademelons as well as iguanas and Dragon lizards. The bird life goes beyond words as rainbow lorikeets, king parrots, eastern rosellas, kukaberras, magpies, and wedgetail eagles frequent the property. Wild orchids, stag and elk horn and tree ferns typical of the rainforest flora adorn the property in almost every direction. Listen to our waterfalls after rain showers. Leave civilization behind for a few days tranquillity and allow the breezes and our wayfaring train to lull you into sleep.
Breakfast and lunch fixings, along with our own organically grown fruits and vegetables make for quality meals at your discretion. You’ll especially enjoy dinner at our chosen Four Star restaurant just down the road.
Arrive either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Begin with horse/rider analysis and goal setting.
A program is then designed that will involve horse interaction, study, and discussion over two days.
By Sunday afternoon the student will normally have progressed well and achieved desired objectives.
Bringing your horses? Our facilities will accommodate your horses. We ask you to bring your own feed as a change in feed can be detrimental.
